When we look at a film we're utilising all assets that make your film unique; running time, country of production, genre, theme, nationality of director, and so on. This means when we're looking to festivals we are honing in on what flavour they want, and any remits they are after. We don't just blitz the entire circuit with all our Slate, we are selective and thoughtful with our submissions.
By researching film festivals with more focus, we are highlighting areas which hold stronger potential for our films and their selection. Our experience of handling a large slate across hundreds of festivals means we have a good gauge of what fits programmer's tastes. We are also known for our strong content and choice selections which filters into our established relationships with festivals across the circuit.

It also means we can draw attention to the themes and voices that matter, which also extends into the information we share, and the insights that we invite to be part of our presence. We only ever want to generate healthy discussion to make the industry and festival landscape a conducive one. This also feeds into what we shine a spotlight on sharing on our socials from those alongside us in the industry, and the views we want to promote.

There is still a disparity between the recognition of female-identifying talent and opportunity. As a female-led business we think it’s important to highlight the talent that we know so they can reach a wider audience. By highlighting them on our Slate we not only promote their strength but can aid festivals in their goal of curation too.
