Ted Byron Baybutt is the director of Chasing The Bear Films, a successful production company based in Greenwich, London. Ted worked at BBC Solent, production managing BBC News and Children In Need. Graduating from Southampton Institute and the London Film Academy, he worked on over 50 productions ranging from The Secret Agent at Ealing Studios to The Mummy at Shepperton Studios. He produced and directed short film Putt, which was screened before a Vin Diesel Disney film in the UK and has produced a nationally acclaimed play, Auntie and Me. In 2015 he produced the short film SexLife, and later went on to produce another multi-award winning short film called Surgery.

Ted successfully supplements his independent filmmaking by producing and directing large corporate film productions in all media sectors for the likes of Hiscox Insurance, Capita Personnel Development and Royal Mail.

Ted first met Katie McCullough after receiving a recommendation to use her services for SexLife. The film was extremely well received on the festival circuit and went on to be the only UK short film screened at Tribeca Film Festival in 2015. Following SexLife's festival run, Ted became Festival Formula's consulting Managing Director.

Separately, Ted has partnered with Samsung to distill his film experience into MovieSweep, an innovative and fun narrative game which tests players’ movie knowledge. He is now working on BollywoodSweep, the next installment in the Sweep gaming franchise.
